Alarm Monitoring
Alarm monitoring allows your security system to quickly communicate details of your emergency to security control room, where the appropriate authorities are immediately notified. Your security system may include window or door sensors, motion detectors, tamper sensors, or specialised temperature, flood, and smoke detectors that are all connected to your system control panel.

Your control panel immediately sends a signal to the alarm monitoring centre detailing critical information including your name, your address, contact information and the type of sensor that has been triggered.

Monitoring personnel then contact you to advise the alarm has been triggered. At this point, a security patrol company can be sent.

If you don’t respond, the alarm monitoring service contacts the appropriate agency to dispatch emergency personnel to your address. For example, if your smoke detector triggers the fire department are contacted, while the signal from a medical alert pendant will be routed to ambulance or paramedic services
Video Monitoring

- Alarm systems offer alternate communication methods, so if one path fails others will back it up.
- Alarms can be silent, this is used mainly for a hold up alarm
